Journey Midwifery Services offers prenatal, birth, and postpartum care for homebirths in the Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, North Georgia, and surrounding areas. In serving you, we offer the chance to develop a personal relationship with us. Your prenatals are done in your home surrounded by your family. We want you to feel comfortable and develop trust with us. We believe in informed consent and will make sure that you have the knowledge you need to make decisions about your birth. Licensed by the state of Tennessee, we can offer a full range of birth services, including routine prenatal blood work, paperwork and birth certificate for your baby, and a newborn screening.

 

We provide a professional level of comprehensive, holistic midwifery care for you and your baby.

At Journey Midwifery Services…
  • You will develop a trusting, personal relationship with your midwives.
  • We take our time at prenatal visits, listening to you and addressing all of your concerns and questions.

Prenatals

  • Conducted at your home, with your family if desired.
  • About an hour long.
  • Your informed consent for all tests or procedures.

Birth

  • Labor will not be rushed.
  • Professional, experienced homebirth support from your trusted midwives.
  • You will not be separated from your baby.
  • At your home, surrounded by your support people.
  • Enjoy your new baby in the comfort of your own bed, while your midwives clean up.

Postpartum

  • Help with breastfeeding.
  • Postpartum checkup for mom and baby.
