{The decision to hire Michelle for our birth was hands down the best one we made. She was professional, caring, and had just the right amount of involvement while not being overly in my birthing space. When our daughter was born, she did all the newborn stuff right there at the foot of our bed while we watched, then tucked us in so we could SLEEP! If you’ve had a hospital birth before, you know that is not the case at all. Our house was spotless when she left. There was no mess. We would hire her again in a heartbeat!

My search for a midwife for our second child began out of necessity and I never expected for my experience to be so life changing. I had delivered our first child, Grace, in the hospital with no problems, so a natural birth was totally foreign to me! I researched different options within the Chattanooga area, but after my first meeting with Michelle I knew I had found the best option for my family. I could say so many positive things about Michelle, but what I found to be so important was her amazing knowledge on all things prenatal, pregnancy and post-natal. I had such a comfort level with Michelle because of her professionalism, but also her ability to encourage through the ups and downs of prenatal, pregnancy and post-partum.

My first delivery with Michelle was in January 2014 for our son, Jack. Leading up to his beautiful birth were nine months of incredible prenatal appointments. I loved the personalization of each visit and appreciated the time Michelle and Mary took to answer all (100) of my questions. Michelle is totally operating in her passion and gifting, which is so evident by the level of care she provides. It was an incredible pregnancy with no complications and the delivery was so empowering. I never would have imagined that I would deliver any of my children naturally, but with the support of Michelle and Mary it happened! My delivery was the perfect balance of personal freedom and having the support of such an encouraging and knowledgeable midwife team.

In September of 2017, we delivered our third child, Noah. Again, I had an unforgettable natural delivery with the help of Michelle. Michelle was able to help navigate some prenatal and pregnancy related problems with safe and natural approaches leading up to delivery, which meant so much. I felt such peace throughout the process and still enjoy a relationship with Michelle. She has been so helpful with questions about postnatal self-care! She and Mary are so genuine, informed and I am so thankful for them.

There are not enough spaces and not enough time to tell all of the amazing things about this team and my experience with them. This was my third pregnancy but first homebirth. I was looking for something different this time around- more peace, less stress, more joy, less intervention. I got all of it and more. I’ve never felt more peaceful with a pregnancy and especially a delivery than I was with this one. Michelle and Jenny was so supportive throughout the entire thing. I got to birth in my own space, set up the way I wanted to create a serene environment to bring our sweet baby into the world. It was so peaceful and honestly just pure bliss. I’m a nurse, postpartum in fact and I was not at all concerned or afraid throughout the delivery or after she was born. If you are in doubt, at the very least, sit down and talk with them. I can assure you it will be the best choice and you will not be disappointed!
